The gourami does not require any special water requirements, however they need plenty of light and heavy vegetation.

The Dwarf Gourami above is just one of many gourami. There is the Kissing Gourami, the Three Spot Gourami, the Giant Gourami, the Snakeskin Gourami, the list goes on and on.

The gourami is a bubble nest builder. The male builds the nest and cares for the young. This is one of the most interesting type of all fish when it comes to spawning habits.

These fish are very peaceful and well suited for a community tank. Be careful, they are good jumpers. Always keep your aquarium covered.
